It’s important for moms to recognize that all the small successes in our days can add up to one big triumph. So on Thursday of each week, we do exactly that.
1) Somehow we managed to shave two hours off of our driving time and made a quick trip to Indiana in eight hours (close to the normal length) when it has usually taken us ten hours. I hope to continue this trend.
2) We did have school in our home-away-from-home. The boys were less impressed with this development, but it happened nonetheless.
3) The big boys and I had an evening out and went to Mass yesterday in honor of Our Lady’s birthday.
4) Bonus Success goes to Haus Meister, who willingly spent his 30th birthday weekend painting the boys’ room and beginning on other rooms in the house.

Traveling with kids is always an accomplishment! Make sure to wish Haus Meister happy birthday for us!
Yay for Our Lady’s Birthday! I was a dork, and totally forgot.
Awesome list of successes! I can only imagine what your boys faces looked like when you informed them school was in session. Ah the joy of boys. Great job trying staying on track!
Doing school in a home-away-from-home? That’s dedication and pretty darned amazing. Congrats on fighting any tendency to “let it slide,” like I probably would :).
Great week!
Tell Haus Meister we all wish him a very happy birthday!
