Small Successes: Rainy Day Edition

It’s important for moms to recognize that all the small successes in our days can add up to one big triumph. So on Thursday of each week, we do exactly that.

1) Our babysitter gave me a ready-made scrapbook for Christmas that is very pink and rather Victorian.  It has become a quaint keepsake “baby book” for Li’l Bean.  Since I was able to personalize it, I made it easy on myself to be able to record her milestones and etc.  It’s something I try to do for each child.

2) The Christmas decorations are being put away!  Usually this would have been done by the feast of the Baptism of Our Lord, but we were a little distracted at the time. 😉  The fact that it rained yesterday and is raining today helps a good deal in this endeavor–we aren’t tempted to spend a day outside in what had been balmy Springlike weather.

3) We transitioned back to school very well this week.  I think we were all ready to get back to a routine!  Thankfully Li’l Bean’s naps allow us to get quite a bit done. 🙂

  1. Congrats on the scrap books. I have memory bins; one for each. Here’s hoping one day I can make them into something more portable and linear in nature.

Congrats on the lit’bean. Take it easy. I know it’s funny to say to anyone who has more than one, but try to get some rest.
