Small Successes: Back on the Homefront

It’s important for moms to recognize that all the small successes in our days can add up to one big triumph. So on Thursday of each week, we do exactly that.

1) I met Haus Meister at the airport before he had even had time to collect his baggage, which is exactly how I like it.  Usually he’s been waiting outside with the bags for the van to come into sight.

2) We ordered the windows for the childrens’ bedrooms.  No more drafty winter nights, God be praised!

3) In keeping with my plan to redecorate our master bedroom, I found that simply replacing our old comforter cover with a spare quilt we had in our linen closet really added to the look we wanted while being…absolutely free.  The quilt was given me by my grandmother, and deserved to be used.

  1. I love repurposing things as well–especially when there are more important projects, like the windows mentioned in #2, that require our funding. It’s nice, though, to feel that you can pull a project together on the cheap and easy. 🙂

I hope you have a good weekend, too. 🙂
