It’s important for moms to recognize that all the small successes in our days can add up to one big triumph. So on Thursday of each week, we do exactly that.
1) Before leaving town we pitched in with my brother-in-law’s family to cook a big birthday dinner for my mother-in-law. The extended family had been under the weather for a while and she was really craving a good Thai meal at the hands of the family experts (Haus Meister and his brother & our sister-in-law). However, before this could be accomplished, emergency circumstances arose which necessitated my first ever grocery shopping run–solo–with all of my children. We made it through without tears, although of course, I only needed three things, and it took us less than half an hour in and out of the van. But wow–I was thanking God, our personal Saints, and all our guardian angels.
2) We were able to jump back into our school routines up here at Grandma & Grandpa’s house without much fuss. My parents had set up a bulletin board of sorts so I could post our calendar, the days of the week, and the weather chart for our “circle time,” and all of the workboxes came along and nothing has gone missing along the way.

May you all have a wonderful weekend!
Great work! I cook instead of sewing, so I am in awe of the nightgown. School on the go can be tricky–congrats on sticking with it!
I want your sewing talent!!!
I’m still playing catch up here today….thanks for sharing your week’s better moments! They brighten my day!!! Much love!
