It’s important for moms to recognize that all the small successes in our days can add up to one big triumph. So on Thursday of each week, we do exactly that.
1) Haus Meister and I have been working on getting to sleep earlier so we can wake up before the children instead of with the children. Not a bad plan, this. I, for one, usually feel more refreshed in the morning if I have a moment to recollect rather than hitting the ground running.
2) I contacted Kodak for a new printhead for my indispensable all-in-one printer/scanner/copier. This is a success because I could have–and almost did leave it on Haus Meister’s “honey-do” list. However, there’s enough projects on that list that are beyond my ability (i.e. make the top bunk for the boys’ bed) so why give him something I’m capable of doing just because I don’t feel like it? It makes him nervous when I try building things, anyway–and rightly so.
3) I have had Trooper’s workboxes all set to go for the next day these two nights running. This system is fantastic. He’s catching onto it so well, too. 🙂
Bonus Success this week is awarded to my parents, today celebrating 32 years of marriage! Congrats, Mom & Dad–we love you!
You and I are so much alike this week!!! I di the same thing to Hubby a lot…leave things for him, when I could. Thanks for the reminder of holiness for me! And #1 goes without saying for me too.
God Bless you!!!
Congrats to your folks on their anniversary! My parents just celebrated 33 years at the end of July, and my in-laws are about to celebrate 39 years!
Wow! 🙂 Congrats to both sets of parents!
Eliazbeth, Congratulations to your’s and your in-laws wedding anniversary and thank you for your nice note.
God bless, Mom
Haus Frau,
Thank you for being a wonderful daughter, marrying a wonderful husband and blessing us with such wonderful grandchildren. It is definitely a high point in our marriage to be able to share your lives together.
Love, Mom
Mom,
Thanks for being such wonderful parents and uber-wonderful grandparents (honestly, you let my kids get away with MUCH more than we girls ever did). 😉
